Overview
The Kruger Thornhill Safari Lodge, nestled inside the Guernsey private concession in the Greater Kruger, has an African bush feel. The Thornhill Safari Lodge is part of the natural environment and ecosystem, and the neighboring concession is part of Kruger National Park. The itinerary includes an afternoon wildlife drive in the private concession, a full-day safari in Kruger National Park, a day at leisure to enjoy the African sun, and a morning nature walk.

4-Day Kruger Thornhill Safari Itinerary
Day 1 :
Day 1: Guernsey Private Nature Reserve
Departing Johannesburg, we go to the Greater Kruger National Park, where our safari experience starts. After passing through the Highveld farmlands, we descend the Drakensberg Escarpment and enter the Lowveld.
We arrive at Thornhill Safari Lodge in time for a tasty lunch. Following some rest time, we go on a late afternoon Big Five wildlife drive in an open 4x4 Safari vehicle in one of the nearby private reserves. We stop for Sundowner beverages and nibbles at one of the waterholes before continuing our game drive into the night.
Thornhill, located in the Guernsey Private Nature Reserve, provides excellent accommodations in genuine thatched roof huts. Vibrant textiles and native wooden furnishings combine to create a rustic but sophisticated bush feel. Sit back and relax in our bar/lounge area, or drink cocktails by the swimming pool and treetop observation terrace, which overlook the Drakensberg Mountain Range and endless nature.

Day 2 :
Day 2: Kruger National Park Safari
You will have an early start as our friendly safari guides greet you to begin your next safari journey in the famed Kruger National Park.
It is regarded as the flagship of the South African National Parks system. The Kruger has an astounding amount of species, including 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 517 birds, and 147 mammals.
Your safari begins as soon as you reach the Kruger National Area, where you will experience the greatest game drives the area has to offer. Throughout the day, you will visit several vistas and waterholes until you arrive at a distant location for a delicious picnic breakfast.
After a thrilling day, you will return to the contemporary amenities of Thornhill Safari Lodge. You will get another taste of perfectly cooked, authentic African food. You will then rest for the night among the magnificent serenade of the African bush.

Day 3 :
Guernsey Private Nature Reserve
This is your leisure day to bask in the African sun. You will unwind at the lodge while sipping on beverages beside our lovely swimming pool. Alternatively, you and your family may participate in any of our various interesting activities on offer.
Full-Day Kruger Game Drive: R 1,950 per person.

Day 4 :
Guernsey Private Nature Reserve
You will wake up early and go on a game walk to explore the area on foot.
Our rangers know how to keep visitors entertained with interesting information while leading you on a game hunt in the outdoors.
After a delicious breakfast, we will wish you goodbye as you continue your trip.
