You will be collected up from the airport or your accommodation and driven to Nxai Pan National Park, stopping for lunch along the way. Nxai Pan encompasses an area of 2100 square kilometers and contains a few larger pans where historic salt lakes formerly existed. These larger pans are currently covered with grass and dispersed around acacia tree islands, while smaller pans fill with water during the rainy season. Sunsets at these waterholes may be stunning, with animals silhouetted against the setting sun. You will return to your campsite after dark and eat dinner by the fire.
4-Day Botswana Makgadikgadi Zebra Migration Experience
Uganda: Private tour • 4 days
Tour overview
Come to Botswana to experience a recently discovered migration. Plains zebras move approximately 1000 km between areas each year. This migration was only recently found since part of the country it passes through is virtually inaccessible, and nobody expected zebras to travel that far! This camping safari will provide you with the opportunity to witness this firsthand.
