Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax after your flight or enjoy optional activities around Entebbe, including a visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, Entebbe Botanical Gardens, or the shores of Lake Victoria.

Your guide will brief you about the upcoming adventure through Uganda's most spectacular destinations.

After breakfast, begin your journey northwards to Murchison Falls National Park. The adventure starts with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Uganda's only home for southern white rhinos.

As you travel southwards, you will pass through vibrant towns and rural communities, giving you a glimpse into the daily lives of local Ugandans. Along the way, enjoy views of tea plantations, banana farms, and the stunning scenery surrounding the Rwenzori Mountain region as you approach Fort Portal, the gateway town to Kibale Forest.

Upon arrival near Kibale National Park, check into your lodge and relax after the journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy an optional visit to the nearby crater lakes region, take a nature walk around the lodge, or explore the local communities around Kibale before preparing for the next day's chimpanzee trekking adventure.

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the Kibale National Park visitor center for a pre-trekking briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guides. During the briefing, you will learn about chimpanzee behavior, trekking guidelines, safety precautions, and the conservation efforts protecting these incredible primates.

Begin your unforgettable chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kibale Forest, one of Africa's most remarkable tropical rainforests and home to one of the highest concentrations of primates in the world. Accompanied by experienced trackers and guides, you will hike through the lush forest trails in search of habituated chimpanzee communities.

The trek offers much more than chimpanzee sightings. As you explore the forest, you may encounter other primates including red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. The forest is also alive with colorful bird species, butterflies, and unique plant life. Your guide will share fascinating information about the ecosystem, chimpanzee social behavior, and the importance of rainforest conservation.
