4 Days Uganda Double gorilla trekking from Kigali, this trip starts and ends in Kigali Rwanda. During this trip, you will have an opportunity of tracking two different gorilla families in Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park. Bwindi is a home to half of the worlds number of mountain gorillas, the park too has for several habituated gorilla families opened for trekking. Each gorilla family has got different traits and x-tics and thus, double gorilla trekking offers you a huge experience to discover two different gorilla groups/families residing in Bwindi or you can track the second group in Mgahinga gorilla national park situated in the boarder between Uganda, Rwanda and DR Congo. Mgahinga has got only one habituated gorilla group (Nyankagezi). You will also have an experience with the Batwa locals living in surrounding areas of the park. or alternatively, spend the night in Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s beautiful lake and calm, peaceful environment to unwind after a long day gorilla trekking in Bwindi.

  1. Day 1

    Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    Your adventure begins as you arrive in Kigali, Rwanda. Upon landing, you'll be warmly welcomed by your guide, who will brief you on the journey ahead. The drive to in Uganda offers a scenic experience, winding through rolling hills and lush landscapes. As you cross the border into Uganda, you'll notice a change in scenery, characterized by dense forests and a cooler climate. En route, you will have the opportunity to stop at local markets and communities, giving you a taste of the vibrant culture of the region.     Day 2

    First Gorilla Trekking Experience and afternoon Batwa

    After an early breakfast, you'll head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and guidelines of gorilla trekking. This session is crucial to ensure the safety of both the visitors and the gorillas. Armed with this knowledge, you'll set off into the misty forest with your guide and fellow trekkers. The trek can vary in length, depending on the location of the gorilla families, but it typically lasts between 2 to 6 hours. The hike through the dense vegetation and steep terrain is challenging but incredibly rewarding. As you navigate through the forest, your guide will point out various flora and fauna, enriching your experience. Finally, you will encounter a family of mountain gorillas. Observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat is a profoundly moving experience. You'll spend an hour with them, watching as they interact, play, and go about their daily lives. This encounter offers a unique glimpse into the lives of these endangered animals. After the trek, you will return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest. The afternoon is free for you to relax or explore the local community. You might visit a nearby Batwa community to learn about the culture and traditions of the Batwa people, who have lived in the forest for centuries. You will enjoy several activities including; traditional dances among others. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

    Day 3

    Second Gorilla Trekking ad transfer to lake Bunyonyi

    The excitement builds as you prepare for your second day of gorilla trekking. After another early breakfast, you'll head back to the park headquarters for a briefing. Today's trek will take you to a different family of gorillas, offering a new perspective on their behavior and social dynamics. As you trek through the forest, you will notice how each experience is unique. The gorillas might be in a different part of the forest, presenting new challenges and sights. Spending another hour with a different gorilla family deepens your understanding and appreciation of these incredible animals. Returning to the lodge and check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest lake and offers conducive and calm, peaceful night after a long day gorilla trekking. On arrival in lake Bunyonyi, you will check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

    Return to Kigali and Departure
