5-Day Popular Botswana Safari Through the Delta

The safari begins at Maun Airport, where you will be greeted and checked in for your "seat in place" charter to Shinde. You've landed at the Okavango Delta! Transfer to camp and unwind before the first game action.

Spend two nights at Shinde, including meals and locally selected beverages. Shinde is located on a private concession that allows for guided hikes, Mokoro excursions, and night drives, as well as game drives and motorboat rides. This mix of ecosystems supports a diverse range of species, including the rare sitatunga antelope and a thriving leopard population. Guided walks are also offered for the more daring, and fishing enthusiasts can catch a variety of species including tilapia and tigerfish.

Following breakfast, transfer to the airstrip and fly to Kanana for the second leg of your safari. Your two-night stay at Kanana includes all meals, chosen local beverages, and game viewing activities.

Birding is excellent, with Kanana hosting a seasonal heronry, one of the largest in Southern Africa, which makes all visitors into passionate 'twitchers'. Guided bush treks are strongly advised, as is fishing for tilapia, African pike, and sharp tooth catfish.

Your final morning in the delta's African wonderland allows you to have one last breakfast before being flown back to Maun for your onward travel plans.
