3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Tour

Today, the safari begins with the pickup from either the airport on arrival or your hotel depending on where you will be. Depending on the time, you will take a short Kigali city tour exploring the major historic and cultural sites like the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, Craft markets in Kigali, Kandt National Museum, and presidential museum. After visiting some of these sites you will have lunch at a restaurant in the city – enjoy local foods or continental meals depending on your preference. After the lunch in Kigali city, we embark on the journey to volcanoes National Park, home to the Mountain Gorillas. Rise up early and start your day with early breakfast and head out to the park by 7:00am for briefing by the park rangers on the does and the don’ts of Gorilla trekking. After, you will be assigned to a gorilla group led by the rangers for the start of the trek. The normal trek may last for about 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas following the trails and the tracks created by the gorillas. Once you have found them, you will be allowed one hour with them as you watch them play, feed, breast feed among others take photos and thereafter, you return to the park headquarters then to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go on Iby’iwacu cultural tour Iby’iwacu cultural tour where you will immerse yourself in to the Rwandan culture and learn more about the them as well as enjoy traditional dances showcased by the locals among other activities. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Wake up to relaxed morning breakfast and thereafter, go on a city tour to visit some of the iconic and interesting places in Rwanda. Optional activities include, Golden monkey trekking, Kigali city tour, Musanze caves, twin lakes.
