Your 3-Day Luxury Fly-In Gorilla Safari begins with a convenient transfer to Entebbe International Airport or the appropriate departure point for your scheduled domestic flight.

Instead of spending most of the day on the road, you will take a scenic flight toward southwestern Uganda. Depending on the flight schedule and the gorilla trekking sector, your flight may arrive at an airstrip serving the Bwindi or Kihihi region.

From the airstrip, your private safari representative will meet you and transfer you toward your luxury lodge. The drive offers your first views of southwestern Uganda's dramatic landscapes, with rolling green hills, terraced farmland and rural communities surrounding the Albertine Rift.

After arriving at your lodge, check in and enjoy lunch before spending the afternoon relaxing.

The remainder of the day can be enjoyed at the lodge, taking in forest and mountain views, enjoying the lodge facilities or preparing for tomorrow's gorilla trekking adventure.

Today is the centerpiece of your safari — mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to your designated gorilla trekking briefing point. Your guides and park rangers will provide a detailed briefing covering gorilla behavior, trekking safety and responsible viewing practices.

You will then begin your trek into Bwindi's ancient rainforest.

The trek can take several hours depending on the location of your assigned gorilla family. Bwindi's terrain can be steep, muddy and challenging in places, but the forest itself is part of the adventure.

As you move through the vegetation, you may encounter forest birds, monkeys and other wildlife before eventually locating your gorilla family.

Once the gorillas are found, you will spend the permitted viewing time observing them in their natural environment. You may see a silverback monitoring the group, mothers caring for young ones, juveniles playing or individuals feeding among the vegetation.

After the encounter, trek back to the park headquarters and return to your lodge.

Enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing. Depending on your energy level, you can enjoy the lodge's surroundings, take photographs or simply unwind after the trek.

Enjoy your final morning surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda.

After breakfast, your private vehicle will transfer you from the lodge toward the appropriate airstrip for your return flight.

The journey provides one final opportunity to appreciate the rolling hills and rural scenery of the region before boarding your domestic flight.

Upon arrival near Entebbe, you will connect with your onward international flight or continue to your next destination.
