4 Days Double Gorilla Trekking

Your 4 Days Double Gorilla Trekking Safari begins early in the morning as you depart Kampala or Entebbe and travel southwest toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

The journey takes you through Uganda's changing landscapes, passing through rural communities, farmland, rolling hills and eventually the spectacular highlands of southwestern Uganda.

Enjoy lunch along the way before continuing toward your selected Bwindi trekking sector.

As you approach the forest, the scenery becomes greener and more mountainous. The winding roads offer beautiful views of terraced hills and local communities.

Arrive at your lodge, check in and relax. Your guide will brief you about the two upcoming trekking experiences and help you prepare for the first trek.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the designated park headquarters for your first gorilla trekking briefing.

Your ranger guides will explain the trekking guidelines and responsible gorilla-viewing practices before you enter Bwindi's ancient rainforest.

The trek takes you through dense vegetation and challenging terrain as you search for your assigned gorilla family.

Once the gorillas are located, you will spend the permitted viewing time observing their natural behavior. You may see the silverback interacting with the group, mothers caring for infants and juveniles playing in the forest.

After the trek, return to the park headquarters and transfer back to your lodge.

Enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon resting and preparing for your second trek.

Because gorilla families move naturally and each trek follows different conditions, today's experience can feel completely different from the first.

You may explore another section of forest, encounter different vegetation and observe a different gorilla family's social dynamics.

For photographers and wildlife enthusiasts, the second trek provides another valuable opportunity to observe gorilla behavior and capture photographs under different forest conditions.

After completing the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

The remainder of the afternoon can be spent enjoying the lodge surroundings or taking an optional community experience.

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back toward Kampala or Entebbe.

The drive takes you through the beautiful hills and rural communities of southwestern Uganda before gradually returning toward central Uganda.
