7-Day Big Cats Botswana Safari

When you arrive at Maun Airport, a representative will meet you and direct you to the domestic terminal and waiting lounge. From here, you'll take a short flight to Camp Moremi. Camp Moremi, nestled under towering ebony trees in the Moremi Game Reserve's Xakanaxa region, redefines the term safari. Game excursions in open 4x4 vehicles, both in the morning and late afternoon, provide frequent sightings of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and wild dogs. Alternatively, guests can explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and the Okavango Channel by watercraft.

Following breakfast, you will be taken to the airfield for your flight to Savute Safari Lodge. Savute Safari Lodge, located on the banks of the Savute Channel, is small and intimate, with only 24 guests staying in cool thatched timber and glass suites. The location is well-known for its bull elephant population and the peculiar interactions of the local predator species. The near-closeness of nature is reflected in the recently remodeled, sophisticated African décor. Game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles are the main focus of activities in the Savute area. Savute is home to a spectacularly large summer zebra migration, which is determined by the rains but typically occurs between November and December and again between February and April, when the zebras migrate from the rivers in the north to the lush grasslands and full waterholes in the southeast of the park. A variety of predators are always with them.
