7-day safari in Uganda is an immersive experience that showcases the country's rich wildlife and diverse ecosystems. Queen Elizabeth National Park is famous for four of the big five game as well as a host to the biggest number of mammal species. The park is located south-west of Kampala and situated not far from Kibale forest national park. The park is rich in mammal species as well as bird species. Its also famous for its tree climbing lions of Ishasha sector. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is located south-western of Kampala, the park is a home to half of the world’s population of the endangered mountain Gorillas in the world.

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Entebbe/ Pick up and transfer to Kibale forest National Park

    After breakfast at the lodge, the driver will pick you up and embark on a scenic drive to , renowned for its rich biodiversity and large population of chimpanzees. The journey will take approximately 6-7hours, winding through lush landscapes, tea plantations, and rural villages. Lunch will be enroute in Mbarara town, continue and drive to . Upon arrival, check into your lodge. In the afternoon, take a guided nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, home to a variety of birds, primates, and unique flora. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest, eagerly anticipating the chimpanzee trek the next day.

  2. Day 2

    Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

    The day starts early with a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on . Accompanied by experienced guides, venture into the dense forest to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. The experience is both exhilarating and educational, as you learn about the behavior, social structure, and conservation efforts surrounding the chimpanzees. After the trek, enjoy a packed lunch in the forest. In the afternoon, explore the nearby crater lakes region, known for its stunning scenery and tranquil atmosphere. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

  3. Day 3

    Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

    After breakfast, depart for , a journey of approximately three hours. This park is famous for its diverse ecosystems, including savannahs, forests, wetlands, and lakes, making it a haven for wildlife. Upon arrival, check into your safari lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive in the park’s northern sector, seeking out elephants, lions, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species. The day concludes with a relaxing evening at the lodge, where you can share stories of the day’s sightings over dinner.

    Day 4

    Morning Game Drive and afternoon Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

    Rise early for a dawn game drive in the , a prime location for spotting lions and other predators on the hunt. The early morning light provides excellent photography opportunities as the wildlife is most active. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and some leisure time. In the afternoon, head to the Kazinga Channel for a boat safari. This channel, connecting and , is teeming with hippos, crocodiles, and a plethora of bird species. The boat cruise offers a unique perspective on the park’s wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

  5. Day 5

    Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector

    After breakfast, embark on a journey to , home to more than half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The drive, approximately five to six hours, passes through the scenic sector of , known for its tree-climbing lions. If time allows, enjoy a brief game drive in this area before continuing to Bwindi. Upon arrival, check into your lodge nestled in the heart of the forest. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the once-in-a-lifetime gorilla tracking experience the next day.

    Day 6

    Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

    The highlight of your safari awaits as you set off early for the gorilla tracking adventure. After a briefing at the park headquarters, trek into the dense forest with experienced guides, searching for one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can be challenging, navigating through thick vegetation and steep terrain, but the reward is unforgettable: observing the gentle giants up close in their natural environment. Spend a magical hour with the gorillas, watching them play, groom, and interact. After, you will return to the park headquarters then to the lodge and check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi one of the best safari destinations to unwind after along day gorilla trek. (0ption); you may opt for a visit to the Batwa community to learn about their culture and way of life. Enjoy a farewell dinner at the lodge, reflecting on the incredible experiences of the past week. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

  7. Day 7

    Departure

    After breakfast, go on morning canoe boat in lake Bunyonyi which offers you great opportunity to explore this beautiful and visit of the some of the islands, the lake has got 29 Islands each having its own historical beliefs, the guide will tell you stories of each of them. You will also spot little birds, the local community among other attractions. After return to the lodge and bid farewell to Lake Bunyonyi and start your return journey back to Kampala. You will have lunch in Mbarara. Embark on your journey with another stop at the equator line crossing for photo shoot and brief relaxation, you may opt to check some crafts, souvenirs among others. Continue to Kampala and on arrival, the driver will drop you at the Entebbe international airport for your flight back home. Or at the drop of point of your choice.
